Just for you Cristina !

Sorry for the lack of updates, my camera cord was missing for a while . Now that Kat's working, you would think she'll miss happy hour but NO :) . While waiting  for Cindia (shopping at Zara) we made a stop at Chijmes, just in time for some AMAZING happy hour.  Lemo wasn't present so no glasses were broken this time :) .

House special: SANGRIA. Mmmmmm.....

It's located right at the entrace of Chijmes, Happy Hour is from 3pm-9pm. Don't use work as an excuse anymore :)
If only this could be my job
Sangria, we had the famous homemade , it's 8 dollars for the glass and 25 dollars for the Jug. Why would anyone go for the glass anyway ?
They have Bellinis too for 14 dollars a glass. If you've never had Bellinis..I think you are seriously missing out in life.  You can find the bottle in Giant at IMM too :) probably one of my happiest discovery in life.

Apart from the homemade Sangria, they have La Viva Sangria (spiced red sangria), tripical sangria , peach sangria, Pimm's sangria, cranberry sangria (with champagne ). The jug goes from 25-35 dollars and bottled beer is 6 for 50 dollars. Martinis are 10 each and cocktails 8/glass, 35/jug. It's pretty value for money we say :) !

Cuba Libre Cafe & Bar

Thanks to the information from a clarke quay brochure ( which can also be found online at http://www.clarkequay.com.sg/promo/HappyHour08/index.htm) we found this awesome bar !
Thumbs up for Deb who was sick but still made it to Happy Hour! What a trooper!
A very happy Kerri and Deb with their sugar cane sticks. Delicious.
Their happy hour goes from 6pm-9pm from Wednesday to Saturday and on Sunday till Tuesday, it's all night. Wohoo!
1-for-1 on Mojitos, selected spirits, draft beers, bottled beers and wines! The mojitos were 18 dollars (no GST (:  ) making it $9 per glass. Pretty decent we say!
Kerri and her grapefruit Mojitos. They also had the classic, watermelon, blended, red bull, Brazilian and many more !
II remember reading somewhere that a couple of states in America started banning the selling of alcoholic drinks mixed with energy drinks in bars. I use to think it's silly until I stayed awake all night involuntarily after two of those mojitos. Drink at your own risk. :)
Deb's blended Mojitos had the right amount of minty taste to it.
Round Two! :)

We definitely recommend anyone reading this to visit the bar because it's simply tasty! A good change after all that happy hour beer. We know we will be back for sure!

Brewerkz

This place is probably in my top ten list of favourite bars in singapore. As much as I'm not usually a fan of beers (well apart from rose beer), the fact that they sell them in "towers" makes me really happy. Quantity:)!  I challenge anyone (kat?) on drinking that tower alone . Tesia, if you are reading this, I really wish you were here. You dislike beer but the fruit beer tastes like the peach beer we had. You're a champ and I know you will be up for whatever challenge !

This was taken many months ago and it felt good to be back!

Kat, hard at work, recording the happy hour information down in our little book :)

We  were slightly upset that we didn't make it in time for their first happy hour from 12pm-3pm but at least we made the second!
Their first happy hour starts from 12pm-3pm, the second 3pm-6pm and the fourth 6pm-8pm. The prices differ according to the beer so you are better off reading the menu if you want specific information.

We definitely appreciate the presence of bathrooms in the bar itself, you would think all bars will have them but apparently not all the ones at clarke quay.

We started our happy hour a little too early for the clarke quay area thus a lot of places were closed.

I went to their website www.fbar.com.sg and realized they have a couple of other promotions.
Aircrew Tuesdays- 1 for 1 Housepour and Martinis and 20% of all bottles and free sparkling wines from 9pm-10pm
Apparently they have "Models night" Wednesday and Girls night our thursday. Check them on at their website.

Hooters

I lived in the states for four year but never ate/drank at hooters and never thought I would until...KATRINA decides she really wants to go there. (Then again..hooters is non-existent in south bend indiana). Katrina wasn't eyeing anything else other than the $10 set meal from 11am-3pm! It includes a soft drink, soup of the day, a main course, dessert and coffee/tea.
Check it out here!

Kat trying to imitate her shirt...hmmm...
The coffee was pretty decent and mango ice cream was delicious!
We both picked fish and chips but they have other choices from salads to burgers.

The happy hour deal is pretty good , with the ten dollar set meal you can get a mug of beer for $5, too bad it was tiger beer and we weren't a fan.

WITTEKERKE ROSE BEER

What else can make Kerri so happy and Deb so jealous

but the WITTEKERKE ROSE BEER
Discovering it at Wala Wala really made our day (or night). You can be sure that you will be seeing a lot of us in different pubs with this belgium delight.

We strongly advise you to try it if you see it on a menu, it will change your view on beers. :)
